Alfred Ernest Mather was the son of James and Elizabeth Scott Mather, of 32, Merchiston Avenue, Edinburgh.
He died age 29 in Craigleith Hospital and is buried in Comely Bank Cemetery, Edinburgh. There are six names on the stone and his name appears on the one engraved lower right.
His name was on WW1 of the memorial at St Michael’s Church.
