Hall Bookings

If you would like to hold a concert, rehearsal or class at our handsome, well-maintained Victorian Church, then we have all your needs covered. The church sanctuary is of course an effective performance space while the church halls are more suitable for classes and social events.

The requested hiring period must be for a minimum of one hour. All bookings come with two additional periods of 15 minutes; one is to be used for event preparation and the other is for returning the space back to its original condition after the event has finished. The exception to this rule is the sanctuary space, which must be hired for a minimum of three hours (without the 15 min before and after periods). All hire fees are determined on application.

Please note, the church does not have a public performance licence so we cannot host ticketed events.

Sanctuary

The sanctuary has seating for 500 with a chancel that forms a natural staging area. There is also a vestry that can be used as a green room. The sanctuary also features a fitted hearing loop system. Disabled access is via the side entrance to the lower hall.

Lower Hall

The lower hall can hold up to 100 people. The hire of this space includes the use of a fully-fitted kitchen with hatchway access. Toilet facilities are also available and disabled access is possible via a ramp that leads to the side entrance.

Upper Hall

The upper hall has a capacity of 50. Please be aware that access to the upper hall is only possible via a stone spiral staircase. Furthermore, this space can only be used for sedentary activities. Any non-sedentary use such as dancing or running is prohibited in order to protect the electric lighting in the hall below.

Annex Room

The room in the annex is suitable for meetings involving no more than ten people.
