- Biographical information
David Robert Stuart was the son of James Watt Stuart and Elizabeth Henderson Stuart, of Edinburgh.
St Michael’s Church magazine (July 1942) states that “David went missing after a recent memorable and surprising air raid upon a German city. He was the foremost boy of his year in our 50th Boys’ Brigade company, and in the R.A.F. his promotion was rapid. He returned early in the Spring of this year from North Africa“.
David Stuart lived at 28 Hutchison Avenue. He died at the age of 22 and his name is on the WW2 memorial of St Michael’s Church.
