James Auld was the son of Thomas (butcher at slaughter house) and Marion Auld, of 151, Slateford Rd., Edinburgh. His wife was Jane Auld, of 8, Hermand St., Edinburgh. He died aged 24.
He had been employed as a butcher’s message boy, and at Edinburgh Slaughter House.
He was the older brother of Thomas, who also died.
His name is on the WW1 St Michael’s Church memorial.
