The Guild is a movement within the Church of Scotland that encourages both women and men to commit their lives to Jesus Christ by enabling them to express their faith in worship, prayer and action.
Due to the coronavirus restrictions the Guild has been unable to meet in the usual format (Wednesdays from 2pm) for over a year now. During lockdown members have been keeping in touch by text, telephone and Zoom. Some members have knitted angels, which were given out with Church Christmas gifts, another member knitted teddies and cot blankets which have been given out to new babies and toddlers. The Guild was successful in accessing an initiative account from the Guild Office in 121 George Street and £750 was awarded to help the deaf community in the district start an allotment within Slateford Green Space.
